Use S Health in your Galaxy S4 to monitor your health.

Tap S Health on the Applications screen.

Setting profile

Tap Next, read and agree to the terms and conditions, and then tap Next. Enter your physical statistics and then tap Start.

  • Based on your physical statistics, the device calculates your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and recommends a daily caloric intake. The recommendation may not be accurate for all ages, body compositions, or nutritional needs.

Checking your health information

You can view your information on the health board screen. Select one of the following to view details:

  • Calories burnt: View how many calories you have burned.
  • Calorie intake: View how many calories you have ingested.

Viewing recommended temperature and humidity

Tap  → Comfort level to view the ideal environment for temperature and humidity that the device recommends.

  • Measure the temperature and humidity in a stable indoor environment.
  • The temperature and humidity may vary depending on the ambient environment, device temperature, or your physical contact with the device.

  • Measurements may take some time if there are sudden changes in temperature or humidity.
  • For accurate measurements, use a thermo-hygrometer.

Managing calories

Tap  → Walking mate to count your steps, or tap Exercise mate and enter your exercise history. You can view consumed calories. To view exercise history on a graph, tap the icon at the bottom right.

  • You may experience a brief delay while the walking mate monitors your steps and then displays your step count.
  • If you use the walking mate while travelling by car or train, vibration may affect your step count.

Tap  → Food tracker and enter the foods you have eaten. You can view your calorie intake.

Managing vital statistics

Tap  → Weight, and then enter a value.

You can view current statistics. To view statistic history on a graph, tap the icon at the bottom right.

To add menus to the S Health menu bar, tap  → Settings → Add more features.

Configuring settings for S Health

Tap  → Settings, and then select one of the following:

  • Edit profile: Edit your physical statistics.
  • Security: Set a PIN to lock or unlock S Health.
  • Unit settings: Set unit options.
  • Add more features: Select and download additional menus that appear on the S Health menu bar.
  • Calories burnt shortcut: Set a menu to move when you tap Calories burnt on the health board screen.
  • Compatible products: View and manage device connections.
  • Reset data: Reset S Health data.
  • Terms of use: View the terms and conditions, including personal information and data retention policies.
  • About S Health: View information about S Health.
