I live in Belgium and i trying to dicide wich version of the s4 i should buy. But first i need to know if the both work over here. The only big difference between both is the cpu and chipset.
I9505 has the 1.9 Ghz quad core and the I9500 has de 1.6 Ghz quad core and the 1.2 Ghz quad core.
I would prefer the I9500 but i’m wondering of the 4G network will word in europe cause it says market depended..
ThanksMay 3, 2013 at 11:06 am #253
The local model for Belgium is I9505.
I9500/I9505 is supposed to support all 4G (LTE) bands and work globally. But some of them may be not activated in some regional models. That is the reason it is safe to buy local models.
Yes, most users probably prefer I9500, but only 20-30% S4 is I9500; almost all others are I9505.
For I9500, the CPU is better (for CPU intensive apps/games; for most users/apps, almost no differences) and the DAC (Wolfson) is better (arguable).August 11, 2013 at 10:05 pm #1089dochMember
How can you tell which one you have? I’m in Texas and mine through Sprint. I believe it’s the 9500. Can’t find or do not know how to bring up the specs on the phoneAugust 12, 2013 at 12:40 pm #1090
Us carriers only have SPH-L720 (I9500 equivalent). You have no options.
Most CPU info apps or system info apps can output the info.August 12, 2013 at 2:13 pm #1091dochMember
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I have the SPH-L720. I did install CPU-Z which shows a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.89 GHz. I also validated with a online dump. Thank you for the help. I am having problems with the ” Motion and Gestures and AIR WAVE” Features. Regardless of what I do, and all functions are on, including the icons in the top info bar are green. The functions do not work and the icons do not show up next to the wireless icon. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated.August 14, 2013 at 11:58 am #1094
you need make sure your fingers are moving over the sensor. The moving also should not be too fast.
