It seems I cannot re-produce the issue on two S4 phones.
Not sure about this issue.
You should use Kies 3 to backup all files, especially Story albums, to your PC. The following operations will delete all your albums in your S4.
After backup, you can go to applications manager–all–story albums, try to clear cache. Then try again.
If story album still does not work, you have to try to clear cache and clear data for story album. It should work now, but all your old story albums will be deleted as well. So, backup, backup first.
you need make sure your fingers are moving over the sensor. The moving also should not be too fast.
First, you can list down what the missed features are. Then talk to the vendor, or local Samsung service centre. They should either give a replacement or fix the problem (depending on local regulations)

You can edit the album later. You can remove, adjust and move photos,as well as change themes. But it seems I did not find where to add new photos.
You need apps.
For iTunes to Android, if the music is protected by DRM, unlikely, you cna ply it on Android. There are many sync apps for this, for example, Synctunes free for iTunes (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mahmed.net.synctuneswirelessfree&hl=en)
Never used Zune, no idea.

The local model for Belgium is I9505.
I9500/I9505 is supposed to support all 4G (LTE) bands and work globally. But some of them may be not activated in some regional models. That is the reason it is safe to buy local models.
Yes, most users probably prefer I9500, but only 20-30% S4 is I9500; almost all others are I9505.
For I9500, the CPU is better (for CPU intensive apps/games; for most users/apps, almost no differences) and the DAC (Wolfson) is better (arguable).
